Bahan:
  • 1 kg buah pepaya mengkal, kupas, potong-potong
  • 1 liter air + 1 sendok makan air kapur sirih
Sirup:
  • 400 gram gula pasir
  • 1/4 sendok teh garam
  • 100 ml air
  • 1 sendok makan air jeruk nipis
  • Pewarna merah, hijau

Cara membuat:
  1. Pepaya direndam larutan air kapur sirih selama 2 jam. Cuci, tiriskan.
  2. Masak gula, garam, air sampai mendidih. Angkat. Biarkan dingin.
  3. Masukkan pepaya. Biarkan 4 jam.
  4. Pisahkan pepayanya. Masak air gula sampai kental. Masukkan air jeruk. Masukkan pepaya kembali. Aduk-aduk. Angkat. Biarkan semalaman sampai pepayanya manis.
  5. Jika suka, beri pewarna merah atau hijau.
